Dr. Seuss Birthday Celebration at Barnes and Noble (Friday March 02, 2018 6:30) Head to Barnes and Noble to celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday with Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss! Join us for Storytime, games, and activities in celebration of the beloved author’s birthday.

 

Kids Night Out at Hearts of Clay (Friday, March 2, 6:00 pm) You can drop your kids off at Hearts of Clay the FIRST FRIDAY of EVERY MONTH around 6:00 pm! They will feed them dinner and spend time painting pottery, canvases or clay building. Pick up time is 8:15pm. $25 per child. $10 deposit preferred. Reservations needed ahead of time.

Build a Periscope at Home Depot (Saturday March 3, 9-12pm) Head to the nearest Home Depot for a hands on workshop to build a Periscope. Your child can personalize the periscope with paint and stickers. The activity is FREE and each child receives a certificate of achievement, an apron, and a pin while supplies last!

 

Dorman Theatre Department Character Breakfast (Saturday March 3, 9-11am) Bring your kids for a magical morning with the Dorman Theatre Department. They will have a Character Breakfast with princesses, heroes, etc. You can take pictures with your favorite character and enjoy a delicious breakfast. Spring Glass Fusion Class at Hearts of Clay (Saturday March 3, 5:00pm)  Make a Spring Inspired Bowl from fused six inch glass with step by step instruction. We will show you how to cut and score glass, then your masterpiece will be fused in the kiln and slumped into a bowl. $30 for the class, $10 non-refundable deposit required.

 

Ms. Baba’s Honey Bears at Headquarters Library (Saturday, March  3, 2018, 10 – 11am)  A sensory learning program for children twelve and under and their caregivers for stories, songs, chants, rhymes and sensory play

 

The Very Hungry Caterpillar Storytime at Barnes and Noble (Saturday March 3, 11:00am) Head to Barnes and Noble for Storytime with the Very Hungry caterpillar who eats his way through the days of the week and then changes into a beautiful butterfly. Activities to follow.

Green Spartanburg Science Center and the Student Galleries are all open with free admission. In addition, one or more local musicians will perform a free mini-concert at no charge 2-4 p.m.

The Easter Bunny will be there to take selfies. Bring your camera and come out and play. There will be prizes and giveaways. The egg hunt consists of 2 hunts; one for children ages 2-7 and another for children ages 8-12
