Hub City Kids Hit the Road-Volume 3: Chimney Rock

CHIMNEY ROCK (Adventure Golf and Great Woodland Adventure)

In case there isn’t enough going on for you in Spartanburg this weekend, here is a quick trip idea! We went to Chimney Rock on Labor Day and it did not disappoint! Not sure how we didn’t know there was Putt Putt right at the bottom of the mountain until now!⠀ ⠀
📍Adventure Golf: 339 Main Street Chimney Rock, NC (right before you get to the state park) ⠀
📍Great Woodland Adventure (inside the park)-431 Main Street Chimney Rock, NC⠀
It took us a little less than an hour to get there from Spartanburg. ⠀

🏌🏼🏞There is so much to do in the area, but when we went we played putt putt, got some lunch, and then went into Chimney Rock State Park to do the Great Woodland Adventure. The Great Woodland Adventure is a .6 mile trail that is very kid friendly (not stroller friendly though) with 12 different stations along the way that explore different animals in nature. There is a small Animal Discovery Den at the end of the trail that was fun, too ⠀⠀
💵 Chimney Rock Adventure Golf- $6.50 for ages 10 and under and $7.50 for ages 10 and up. See their website for hours as they are subject to change ⠀
💵 Admission to the park for the day is $6.00 for ages 5-15 and $13 for ages 16 and up. ⠀
🍗 We ate at a restaurant outside of the park but said we would pack a lunch next time because it would have been a lot easier. There is a picnic shelter near the Great Woodland Adventure. ⠀⠀
⏱ Park hours are 8:30 am-5:30pm ⠀⠀

Our overall review is 👍🏻👍🏻. This was a really fun day trip especially if you have putt putt lovers or nature lovers in your family. The only thing that would have made it easier is if we had packed a lunch. Let us know if you check it out! ⠀
